Martha's New Pizza Line With Turpone Foods

Canadians are getting an early sample of Martha's new pizza line, which has been developed by Turpone Foods, based in Montreal, Canada. Founded in 2014, Turpone Foods specializes in licensing partnerships to help launch food products in the retail and food-service markets. They have now collaborated with Martha on a line of frozen pizzas and pinsas, as well as all of the pantry goods necessary for easily making your own pizzas at home! Frozen pizza dough balls, pizza dough mixes, sauces, seasonings, oils and honeys help you create homemade pizzas in your own kitchen with ease, using trusted brands and well-sourced ingredients.

The new product assortment is currently only available at select grocery store chains in Canada (Loblaws, Longos, Metro, Walmart Canada) but American readers can look forward to seeing these products in September at all Big-Y stores and at 170 select locations of Meijer stores. Watch for them!

Other than the vast assortment of options to choose from, I'm most impressed by the quality of ingredients. None of the products contain any artificial flavours or colours and all are made with natural ingredients. There isn't a single chemical listed in any of the ingredient lists on the pantry goods. The frozen goods do contain some (mostly preservatives) but they are minimal and all of the dough used for the frozen pizzas and pinsas is sourdough, hand-stretched and stone-baked. You will be challenged to find anything similar in the grocery store. I haven't tried anything from this new line yet, but I'm looking forward to it! Below are some samples of the products on offer. You can see the full line at Turpone Foods
There are four varieties of Martha's 10-inch frozen pizzas: Spinach Four Cheese with Alfredo, Pepperoni and Hot Pickled Peppers, Sausage and Hot Honey, and a classic Margherita.
There are also four varieties of the 12-inch pizzas, including Cacio E Pepe With Alfredo Sauce, Spinach Four Cheese with Alfredo, Pepperoni and Hot Pickled Peppers, and Sausage and Hot Honey.

Pinsas, which are a Roman flatbread made with a lighter, flakier crust, are also part of the new line. Five options are available: Bacon and Carmelized Onions, Margherita with Fresh Mozzarella, Pepperoni and Hot Pickled Peppers, Sausage and Hot Honey, and Spinach Four Cheese and Alfredo Sauce.

Two kinds of frozen pizza dough balls make it so easy to make pizza at home. New York Style and Neapolitan Style are available.
If you want to make your homemade pizzas as close to "from scratch" as possible, there are three pizza dough mixes available: Neapolitan Style, New York Style and Quick Rising.
You can't have pizza without pizza sauce! There are three flavours available; each flavour comes in a large 680 ml jar as well as a smaller 375 ml jar. Your options are Spicy, Roasted Garlic and Traditional.
Once the foundations have been laid, it's time to build your own pizza topping combination, using an assortment of fresh meats and vegetables, plus seasonings and other toppings. Martha has provided four seasoning options: Garden Herb, Tripple Pepper Mix, Mediterranean Tomato and Sweet Italian.
Dress your pizza with flavoured oils made with all-natural ingredients to take it to the next level! Martha has provided four options: Lemon Pepper, Balsamic Garlic and Herb, Roasted Garlic and Spicy Garlic.
The proverbial 'cherry on the cake' is a drizzle of infused honey for an added depth of flavour. Choose from Fig Oregano, Lemon Black Pepper and Triple Chili.

Happy pizza making!
