It may be difficult to believe, but Martha Stewart turns 69 today! She has the energy and looks of a woman 20 years her junior and is showing no signs of slowing down. Martha is spending time on Long Island, New York, this week, taking part in various activities. I certainly hope she has a marvelous birthday today, filled with Good Things and Martha Moments! Happy Birthday!

What?? No birthday party at Skylands? I thought she'd be there for most of August. But I am glad to hear that she still frequents her Hamptons home, Lily Pond Lane. That's another reason to love Martha - she just doesn't "collect" beautiful homes, she actually lives in them and enjoys them, and is practical about them. When Turkey Hill no longer became viable, she sold it, even though it had become almost as iconic as her.
