Martha Stewart Clean - At Last!

On a trip to the grocery store this evening I casually strolled down the cleaning aisle looking for my usual all-purpose cleaner when I noticed a new bottle perched right beside it: Martha Stewart Clean. Much to my delight, Loblaws in Canada now sells the brand, as well as the Home Depot. It's nice to see the brand is spreading to more retailers, making it more conveniently accessible. Loblaws had all of the products: the dish/hand soap, the dishwasher detergent, the window cleaner, the floor cleaner, the carpet cleaner, the fabric softener, the laundry detergent. I only bought the all-purpose cleaner to start with and will test it out over the coming weeks.
A power shot of my new bottle of Clean. (Notice the bilingual label: French and English are musts for all products sold in Canada.) Like all of the Clean products, the all-purpose cleaner is made with plant-based ingredients, is fragrance-free and colourless. The bottle is quite large, too.

Am I mistaken, or weren't you given a basketful of the new cleaning products as a gift when you were a guest on her show?

I was indeed. They were mailed but were then confiscated at the border. Sad!

I've had the whole line for awhile. My findings: The all purpose cleaner and the carpet cleaner are SOOO GOOD. Not so good? Laundry and dishwasher detergent. Had to stop using both. But...here's a trick. After you finish the giant pump bottle laundry detergent, keep the container and decant Tide into it. The pump and the bottle are fantastic!

Andrew - that is great to hear that you can find it now in Canada .. I bought a bunch of it in Buffalo recently ... I love it!

Consumer Reports didn't like the laundry soap.

Really Malibu Boy? You didn't like the laundry detergent? I've done two weeks of laundry now and I love it. I don't use the softener, I use a lavender softener from Downey so maybe that's why I enjoy the results so much. Anyway, Andrew, I'm so thrilled for you!!! I find the All Purpose cleaner cuts through everything. My mirrors finally have no streaks after cleaning! Enjoy!!!

Great to hear Loblaws is taking on more 'eco' cleaning products. I'll certainly look for it when I'm next in there.
Andrew, do you know how it compares price-wise to the other ones out there?
We're just finishing up re-doing our kitchen and will be looking for products to clean a slate countertop. Do you think any of these would work?

Hi Ailsa, Yes, I'm sure the all-purpose cleaner would work on the slate countertop. It says that it is good for all surfaces. In terms of price, the bottle is $6.49, but it is very big and will last a long time. It's more expensive than other brands but considering all of the ingredients are plant-based (something quite unique to mass-market cleaners) it's quite a bargain.
