The New Book by the Beekman Boys

My friends Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell will be releasing their third cookbook this spring, and this one is all about veggies! The Beekman 1802 Heirloom Vegetable Cookbook is now availalbe for pre-order at Amazon and will be released in bookstores on May 13th. The team that worked on their last cookbook, the Heirloom Dessert Cookbook, is back to help with this volume as well: Paulette Tavormina supplies the gorgeous photographs and Sandy Gluck, formerly the editor-in-chief of Everyday Food magazine, helped develop the recipes. I can't wait to add this volume to my collection!

Ooooo, I love the cover. I remember how beautiful their dessert cookbook was and I'm sure this one will be stunning as well. I've taken an interest in planting the best quality seed in our garden this spring and have eyed up many heirloom varieties. I always struggle with what to do with the harvest. Looks like your friends can help me. I'll head over to Amazon and take a gander. Thanks for sharing.

I would like to see them publish a book on their beautiful home- renovations et al, as Martha did with Turkey Hill.

That's an excellent idea! However, Brent and Josh would be first to point out that they did not do any of the renovations to the home. The previous owners of the home did the redesign and the renovations.

Beekman Boys may be the oldest 'boys' in area. Missing Pete Seeger, but we should all go at 92 and still protesting. Canadians are wonderful, too. There is much to be said about obtaining a home that is ready to move into.
