September seems so far away but that is when Martha's next book is coming out. It's called One Pot: 120+ Easy Meals From Your Skillet, Slow Cooker, Stockpot, and More. It will be paperback, 256 pages and will be out on September 23. You can pre-order it now at Amazon.com. Here is the cover!
At the end of a busy day, you want to serve a delicious home-cooked dinner, a
complete, all-in-one meal that can be prepared with little effort and few pans
to wash. The editors of Martha Stewart Living present a brand-new
collection of 120 recipes—organized by vessel—to help you do just that, all
while adding savory new dishes to your weekly rotation.
One Pot is an exciting new way to approach everyday cooking: Imagine perfect pasta dishes for which everything goes in the pot at once (yes, that’s pasta, tomato, garlic, basil, and water all cooked together), dinner-party ready roasts with tender vegetables, and down-home casseroles, along with wholesome fish, chicken, and vegetarian dishes. You’ll get incredible flavor payoff from dishes such as comforting Chicken and Dumplings, easy Baked Risotto with Carrots and Squash, healthy Broiled Striped Bass with Tomatoes, hearty Pork Chops with Bacon and Cabbage, and the delectable Skillet Chocolate-Chip Cookie—each of which takes less than an hour from start to finish. Here, too, are a dozen outstanding recipes for surprising and simple desserts that can be ready when you are.
With chapters devoted to your essential cooking vessels—stockpot, skillet, slow cooker, and more—this book is sure to streamline your meals and to satisfy the people you share them with. Recipes include:
DUTCH OVEN: Beef Stew with Noodles, Chicken and Dumplings, Baked Risotto, Texas Red Chili, Cajun Stew

Off subject: is M Aretha still appearing regularly on the Today Show?
ReplyDeleteI make one-pot meals all the time! I can't wait to see these new recipes.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous #1: Martha makes regular irregular appearances on the Today Show.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover. I make one-pot dishes for myself quite often. I'm sure it'll be another great cookbook from the MSL kitchen.
ReplyDeleteAndrew,
ReplyDeleteAre you sure Martha is it making appearances on the Today Show?
I am asking as in the past they would be listed on the MSL magazine calendar and I have not seen it listed in the recent months.
To be honest I felt losing this outlet was another serious blow to her, much need, relevance in today's world and would be pleased to be wrong.

Just curious, does Martha do any of the writing or cooking for her latest cookbooks, or is it all the M.S. Living team? This one looks great, but my favourite recent one is the Pies book.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous #1, I'm actually not 100% sure since I don't get the Today Show here. I suppose the best way to find out would be to go to the Today Show website and perhaps contact them to inquire.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous #2: Martha only writes the books that list her as the author (Living the Good Long Life, Martha's American Food, Homekeeping Handbook, etc.) but this upcoming book is written by her food editors.
ReplyDeleteAndrew,
ReplyDeleteJust for your review
I thought you would be interested in this blog on Turkey Hill. You had one blog on the renovated house, button might find some comments interesting .

ReplyDeleteAndrew -- do you know if the Home Office Line at Staples is over ?
ReplyDeleteWhen you go in to a store or online, almost everything is on clearance or no longer being carried ... I hope not -- I really liked alot of the products
Thank you Andrew, looks like an interesting book, another addition to my Marthha Stewart Library. I preordered it from Amazon UK
ReplyDeleteBest wishes xx
Hi Alan: Yes, the Home Office line will be leaving Staples at the end of the year. MSLO is looking for a new partner to carry the line.
ReplyDeleteRe Staples
ReplyDeleteThis is another blow to the brand.
I just can not understand the lack of success her creative/stylish products receive !
